Hello friends – Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and A Magical Solstice to you and your family!

We stepped outside to catch a glimpse of the Solstice Star last night – Jupiter and Saturn apparently coming together in the sky… close enough to kiss! This “Great Conjunction” is the first time this has been visible from Earth since 1226! It seems like it should have some cosmic importance, like the beginning of a new age – and we sure could use a new age!

For many people, the Winter Solstice is the beginning of the New Year period that continues through New Year’s Day – the Solstice is the dying of the old sun, then three days until the raising of the new Sun, otherwise known as Christmas Day, followed by a week of feasting until the official New Year’s Day. That leaves a lot of days to relax, enjoy some good herb and the winter holiday season, while marking a yearly passage of time that has had cosmic significance since ancient times.

The Changing Of The Seasons

This is, of course, a natural time to reflect on the year that has passed and make any course corrections or changes. So we’re looking back on our first six months of Red Bench Reviews with an eye on improving what we do – mainly, making video reviews. As we bring Season One to a close, we look forward to our plans for Season Two, where we hope to expand on everything we’ve learned so far!

One thing that surprised us and got a lot of positive responses this year was our review we did of President Jefferson, a hemp flower from J&K Distribution. I was amazed how much I loved the effects of CBD bud – something I wasn’t expecting when we started Red Bench Reviews. Now we realize we want to review both hemp and cannabis flowers…

So beginning in 2021 we’ll be doing TWO videos reviews a week for Red Bench Reviews! You heard me right… that means a THC bud review on Wednesdays, and a CBD bud review on Sundays, each week! New Review Wednesday for our usual cannabis video review, and CBD Sunday for our hemp flower video reviews – oh my!

Hope!

This New Year period is also a natural time to look forward with hope and aspirations for the future. My number one hope for 2021 (aside from the coronavirus going away) is that marijuana will be legalized across the entire country! This has been my wish for many years. Ask me to make a wish, and that’s my my go-to wish.

This year, that hope doesn’t seem as far-fetched as it did during previous holiday seasons. 68% of the voting population favors legalization, the House recently voted to legalize, and the UN has backed down from their strict rules about cannabis – countries around the world are starting to wake up out of the fog of the drug war… maybe this is the year we legalize?! I hope so with every fiber of my being!!! Wouldn’t that be great?
